Colour & Appearance

The nose is clean and grapey. Fresh and dried grapes – raisins and sultanas – sit on top, with blossom honey and vanilla just behind. A light note of oak and a little toasted bread give warmth, and right at the back there is a hint of yellow apple and a trace of citrus peel.

Palate

The palate is round and soft from start to finish. The grape character is clear, almost like a sweet dessert wine at first, before raisins, honey and vanilla custard spread out. The oak is light and keeps to the background, where it contributes a mild spiciness and just the right amount of backbone. The sweetness is pleasant without ever turning heavy, and the spirit feels well wrapped up. This is a brandy with no sharp edges – easy-drinking in the very best sense of the word.

Finish

The finish is medium in length, soft and honey-smooth. Raisins and vanilla linger together with a mild oak note, and the close is clean and warm without the slightest harshness.

How to Use

The essence is mixed with vodka or neutral spirit. 20 ml makes 750 ml of finished spirit drink, ready to pour straight away. Instructions are on the label.
