Flavour Profile
The schnapps comes out almost black-brown, with a red glow when held against the light. The nose is spicy with star anise, liquorice root and clove; the palate bittersweet with ginger heat and orange peel. The rooty bitterness at the end makes it fresh rather than sweet.
