Complete Yeast Nutrients for Alcoholic Fermentation
FOR ALL YEAST STRAINS
Improves taste and allows you to ferment to dryness. This is a nutrient mix containing all micro and macro nutrients the yeast will need when fermenting alcohol. Dosage will vary depending on the quantity of nutrient present in the raw material, stress from raw materials and what alcohol % by volume you are fermenting to. Recommended Dosage for Various Fermentation Systems:
Mash from sugar (sucrose) 14% alcohol 2 grams/Liter
Mash from sugar 18% alcohol 3 grams/Liter
Mash from dextrose 21% alcohol 3.5 grams/Liter
Mash from sugar cane max 12% 1.7 grams/Liter
Mash from molasses max 12% 1.7 grams/Liter
Wine from fruit 12-14% alcohol 0.40–0.80 g/Liter (depending upon proportion of fruit in must)
Wine from fruit 18% 1–2 grams/Liter (depending upon proportion of fruit in must)
Wine from grape concentrate 12–14% 0.40–0.80 grams/Liter (depending upon proportion of concentrate in must)
Wine from grape concentrate 18% 1–2 grams/Liter (depending upon proportion of fruit in must)
Wine from pressed grapes 12–14% up to 0.50 grams/Liter (depending upon nutritional value of grape must)
Wine from pressed grapes 18% up to 1 gram/Liter (depending upon nutritional value of grape must)
Cider 5% 0.15–0.30 grams/Liter (depending upon proportion of fruit/concentrate in must)
Mead 12% 1–1.5 grams/Liter Mead 18% 2–2.5 grams/Liter
Beer not recommended for use in beer
Whisky and whiskey depends upon substrate; if 100% grain, no addition – if 50% grain/50% sugar, up to 1 gram/Liter
